We are moving the Patient Portal from one provider to another. In order for this switch to take place there will be a pause in service from 31 March to 3 May 2022. We have written to all 56,000 patients who have been invited to the Patient Portal to inform them of the pause. During this period patients will continue to receive paper letters by post for any appointments that are made for them.
Further information can be found on the Patient Portal page of the ESNEFT website. Please ensure that any information on your websites relating to the Patient Portal is updated to reflect these changes. We will continue to keep you updated regarding any changes to the Patient Portal.
The new provider will enable us to continue to develop the Portal to provide additional functions over time, and to enable us to provide the service to all our patients, not just those with appointments at Ipswich Hospital.
Once the new Portal is live, when patients receive a new appointment letter an information slip with a QR code will be included explaining how they sign up to the new Portal. We are unable to move patients automatically onto the new Portal system as they will need to set up their own sign up and security logins.
Once signed up, patients will continue to receive a text message when we make a new appointment for them.
In the event of any questions or queries, please ask patients to email patient.portal@esneft.nhs.uk.
